Project
São Caetano
I had the pleasure of collaborating with a charming North American couple who, captivated by the allure of Lisbon, acquired an apartment nestled in the historic Bairro da Lapa district. Eager to infuse their new abode with the essence of outdoor living, they envisioned a tranquil retreat for al fresco dining and organic gardening. To realize their dream, we designed a compact yet versatile space, featuring a generous sink for washing homegrown produce and adorned with striking metal vases brimming with graceful black bamboo—a perfect match for the patio’s dappled sunlight. Dividing the area into two distinct zones, we created an intimate reading nook and a welcoming dining area, both enveloped by lush greenery and enveloped by a wooden slat enclosure.
